The most frequent type of limousine cancellations by a limousine company occurs when the individual schedules a specific type or style of limousine that is rare and the limousine needs maintenance or breaks down. This occurs when the limousine company has a limited supply of a specific type of limo, such as a stretch Hummer limo, or the limousine reserved is for a large group of people, typically more than 12 individuals.

Luckily, the limousine industry is a service industry which depends on good service and satisfied customers to stay in business. This means that the limousine company will be willing to do a number of things to make sure that your travel plans are not ruined.

If the specific limousine that you reserved will not be available for your reservation, the limousine company will call you as soon as they know that the limousine will not be available and ask you if you will be willing to accept a substitution.
In some cases, this will mean upgrading your limousine type for no extra charge.
If a specific sized limousine is not available, then the limousine company will generally offer a larger limo for the same price or, for larger groups, two smaller limousines for the price of the larger one.
If there is no way that the limousine company can accommodate your request, they should be willing to refer you to another limousine company and refund the full price of your deposit.

The goal of the limousine company is to ensure that you are a satisfied customer and they will be willing to help you find alternative transportation if your limousine reservation is cancelled through no fault of your own.
